Police Man Grappling and it goes real Bad

  This is a good example of some basic ground-fighting experiences would be helpful -- not the arm bars and joint locks but the awareness of what to do when someone is on the top and pummelling you. The ability to reverse positions and get off the ground would be a wonderful aspect to many service officers.
  
  I can fully understand why the police officer shot the guy on top.
  
  Can a civilian help the police officer with the arrest? What situations warrant that? Any of our LEO shed some light on this?

  Yes, a citizen may help a police officer. In fact in this situation the police office actually asks the 2 people with the camera for help.

  I always recommend that you identify yourself as a Self-Defense Instructor and then ask if he would like your assistance.
